Confess, Fletch (2022)

Since Chevy Chase vacated the role of undercover journalist Irwin Maurice “Fletch” Fletcher after 1989's Fletch Lives, endless talk of a reboot has been had with everyone from Jason Lee and Zach Braff to Jason Sudeikis was floated as a replacement. It finally came to pass with the inspired casting choice of Jon Hamm with Confess, Fletch (2022), finding the charming but perpetually in over his head Fletch mixed up in the world of multi-million dollar art thievery. The film nicely captures the spirit of both the original Fletch (1985) and Gregory Mcdonald's novels on which the movies are based. Unfortunately, Jon Hamm doesn't go ham here, choosing to keep his pants on, but giving us a handful of sexy shirtless scenes! Confess... you wanted more out of Fletch!
