Jimmy Fingers (Harvey Keitel) is a man torn between the two sides of his personality and family in Fingers (1978). He’s a quiet piano virtuoso inheriting his talents from his mentally disturbed, but immensely talented concert pianist Jewish mother. He’s also a thug enforcer for his mobbed up, loan shark Italian father. He must walk a delicate line balancing, or trying to balance, both aspects. Sounds tricky, doesn’t it?
Keitel has never met a movie that couldn’t benefit from a blast of Harvey in the buff. He keeps his mandangler under wraps here, but there is a little flesh and aerobic stimulation. Jimmy uses his fingers and a lot more as he pulls down a woman’s bikini and gets to work. There’s enough hard Harvey hide to give you ideas of what to do with your fingers.
