Throughout his career, veteran actor Jeffrey DeMunn has built a bulging resume that boasts more than 100 movie (Burn After Reading, Hollywoodland) and television (Law & Order, The Walking Dead, The Twilight Zone) credits. Although born in Buffalo, the New York native trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England. After his return home, Jeff joined the National Shakespeare Company and performed in King Lear and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the 1970s. By 1980, Mr. DeMunn was on the big screen in The First Deadly Sin starring Frank Sinatra. He then portrayed escape artist Harry Houdini in Miloš Forman’s historical drama Ragtime (1981). We’d love to see Jeffrey escape his clothing! The prolific performer lent his talents to the biopic Frances (1982) with Jessica Lange; the horror movie The Blob (1988); and the thrillers The Hitcher (1986) and Betrayed (1988). During the next decade, Jeff acted alongside John Travolta in the drama Eyes of an Angel (1991) and the romantic fantasy Phenomenon (1996). In between, he could be seen in the musical Newsies (1992). What can we say? DeMunn’s got a huge… range! After popping up in Stephen King’s prison flicks The Shawshank Redemption (1994) and The Green Mile (1999), the arresting actor finally lost his top in the R-rated dramedy Adult Beginners (2014).
