Feature-length movies owe a great deal to short films. It all began in 1902 when Georges Méliès shot the brief sci-fi flick Le voyage dans la lune (A Trip to the Moon) in France. Next, Spanish filmmaker Luis Buñuel shocked audiences with the surreal Un Chien Andalou (An Andalusian Dogin 1929. Jean Renoir’s rom-com Partie de campagne (A Day in the Country) followed in 1936 as did the war documentary Nuit et brouillard (Night and Fog) by Alain Resnais in 1956. American filmmakers also got into the scene with the experimental shorts Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) starring Maya Deren and Kenneth Anger’s Scorpio Rising (1963). By the 21st century, Germany released Love Kills (2008), not to be confused with the Teutonic TV series Love Addicts (2022). Under the pen and direction of Tor Iben, this 28-minute drama follows rich Tim (Felix Isenbügel). He leads a charmed life with his well-to-do lover Lars (Ingmar Skrinjar) — until he meets Bosi (Pedro Stirner), a straight guy who works as a low-level criminal. When Tim falls in love with the crook, he also falls into a downward spiral. Of course, Mr. Man fell in lust with Mr. Isenbügel when he flashed his flesh in two different scenes. One features a full frontal view of the actor in the bath. Without any bubbles, we’re able to see his abs, pubes, balls and peen! If that’s not hot enough, Felix bares his body again — this time during an evening skinny-dip that’ll make you wet!
