OPA! (2005)

Opa! is the tale of what happens when a young man follows in his father’s footsteps, only to discover the path is blocked by the woman he loves.

Eric arrives on the island of Patmos on a quest to find St.John the Evangelist’s mythical cup. With his father long dead, Eric, uses modern equipment his father never dreamt of and the cup is quickly and easily found. 

It’s just under the abundantly profitable and popular bar owned by Katarina Gambierakis.  

One day, dear reader, perhaps some type of “modern equipment” – perchance similar to the technology our movie’s protagonist uses to find his allusive artifact???  -- will be used to help future man see around the borders of his television.  Then, we will all be archaeologists, who can dig in to Matthew Modine’s manhood.

Sadly, that day is not today.  For Opa! that future isn’t coming anytime soon, and neither will you.
