The Stand (2020-2021)

The Stand (2020) is a miniseries adaptation from the spooky and twisted mend of the legendary writer Stephen King. That is probably all anyone needs to know that this series is going to be dark and filled with twists of its own. This mysterious series takes place in a dystopian future in which humanity was ravaged by a manmade virus called colloquially "Captain Trips". The deadly virus has destroyed populations and modern society as we know it. Among this hardship, a fake prophet emerges. This self-proclaimed messiah tells people that he has supernatural powers and that he will use his powers to lead humanity under his powerful rule. He has an army behind him as his following grows and he slowly emerges as a world leader, but a group of surviving humans have decided to come together across the wasteland to form a rag tag army of their own and put a stop to this guy. One might say that they are taking a Stand. Get it? One thing that we could really stand to see is a sexy man. Jovan Adepo brings us exactly what we wished for. Oh, goody! Mr. Adepo is very adept at taking off his shirt for a sexy scene in which he gets out of bed and lets the camera take a look at the specks of black chest fuzz on his firm brown pecs. This delicious piece of man meat is nude in bed as he makes love to a woman, but we don't see much beyond his thighs and arms. We could Stand to see a little more!
